Metro Detroit Youth Clubs are committed to helping develop our Club members ability to engage in positive behaviors that lead to life-long health. We know that youth fitness programs lead to healthy habits later in life that also result in a measured reduction of stress and improved social skills.

Sports & Fitness  

Metro Detroit Youth Clubs provide a variety of opportunities for our Club members to participate in team and individual sports programs. MDYC programs use sports to teach our Club members conflict resolution and life skills that impact their schools, communities and home environments. Baseball, basketball, floor hockey, soccer, lacrosse and volleyball are some of the activities that engage our Club members. In partnership with Oakland County Parks & Recreation, we offer a social and physical recreation program on Saturdays during the school year, for youth with special needs.

BeFitTM Running Program

This year-round fitness program led by the BeFit Running Team, a group of area triathletes, engage Club members in all locations in training activities that prepare them to run in area 2 mile, 5K and 10K events including the Detroit Free Press Marathon.
